Retail Associate – Storehouse no.9

Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Hourly, based on experience

Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Associate to join our team. As a Retail Associate, you will create a welcoming shopping environment, assist customers in finding the perfect home décor solutions, and contribute to the store’s success through excellent service and teamwork. If you have a passion for home design and enjoy helping customers bring their vision to life, we’d love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:  Greet customers warmly, listen to their needs, ask good questions, and provide personalized recommendations for home décor products such as furniture, lighting, textiles and accessories.
  • Sales Support:  Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about pricing, styles, and inventory.
  • Store Presentation: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store, by restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring products are properly labeled.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new inventory, conducting stock checks, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Cashier Duties: Process transactions accurately using our Shopify POS system, and ensure a smooth checkout experience.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and management to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment.
  • Product Knowledge: Take time to learn about our current brands, products, trends in home décor, and store capabilities to provide accurate and helpful information to our customers.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous retail experience is a plus.
  • Passion for home décor and design, and a good eye for what looks good.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Take direction from and report to the Retail Manager.
  • Available five days per week including Saturdays.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
