Hi, I’m Jill, a wife and mother who loves home and loves beauty! As far back as I can remember, I have searched for ways to bring those two elements together. Even as a 6-year-old, I spent many afternoons wallpapering the rooms of my doll house with samples and scraps we had around the house. When I was 9, I got my own room for the first time, and remember carefully picking out my paint color, sewing curtains for the window and asking my grandpa if I could have an old crate from his barn to use as a nightstand.
I am married to my wonderful husband of 22 years, Sam, and we are incredibly blessed to be the parents of 4 amazing kids: Savannah, Mary Virginia, Sam Jr. and Crawford. And, I can’t fail to mention Gov’nor, our two-year-old Doberman Pinscher, who brings lots of love and laughter to us all – even if he is the most spoiled dog on the planet!
This blog is dedicated to Home. To your home and to my home. Home is something you create no matter where you are, no matter what you have. It takes effort, thought and intention. And once you create it, it takes tending. The more you put into it, the more you and the ones you love get out of it. It is worth the investment. Home matters.
This blog is not about how to create a perfectly decorated and immaculate house for your family to live in. Because that isn’t even possible. I actually tried that for a while...it will leave you mad and mean! No, let’s keep it real-life here. The pictures are pretty, but rest assured, there are real people and real messes just beyond the reach of the camera lens!
I hope that Storehouse no.9 will be a place that you can come for ideas, inspiration, recipes, and products you will love. I hope that each time you visit, you leave with a smile and fresh ideas on simple ways you can feather your nest for those you love, who will never forget your efforts.
